"The inspiration for both the hotel and cafe was the delight and beauty of this little corner at the heart of Neve Tzedek that enabled me to dream and do.
Named Nina, after my eldest daughter, it became a home away from home, for my family (including Nina), myself and most importantly for our guests.
Nina Suite Hotel is a continuation of a long tradition that was bestowed on me by my “secret advisor”, my father, Ivan Zibi. He is one of the first founders of hotels in Israel and owner of his own chain of hotels for over 40 years.
I designed each of the rooms personally, with an aim to keep to the highest standards of service while keeping the inspiring European essence and home feel that started it all.
The coffee house is spacious but narrow, giving the space an intimacy and warmth of a friendly, home like embrace.
In the kitchen I make sure that each dish aspires to the highest standards, at the same time I give space for intuition and inspiration.
On the walls of Nina you will find my mother’s paintings, my wedding photos and costumers captured by the lenses of my sister, Devina, that apart from photography, runs a local designer's shop next door to us.
To sum it up in a sentence, at Nina I aim to make sure the when you come in, you feel as if you have entered my living room or my kitchen, and make you feel as our guest rather than another customer...”
